Create a CV Easily in Microsoft Word

In this article, I'm going to show you how you can create a professional-looking CV easily in Microsoft Word. Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Insert and Format Shapes

  • Go to "Insert" and add a shape.
  • Set the shape size to 11.83 by 3.24.
  • Change the color and adjust the shape as needed.
  • Add another shape with a size of 3.44 by 2.66.
  • Reduce the thickness of the shape and flip it horizontally.
  • Adjust it to the right corner and change the color.

Step 2: Insert Picture and Text Box

  • Insert a picture and crop it to a round shape.
  • Insert a text box, remove background color and border.
  • Enter your name, increase font size, and make it bold.
  • Add your contact details like phone number and email address.

Step 3: Insert Icons and Line

  • Go to "Icons" and search for phone icon, email icon, and location icon.
  • Add the respective icons for contact number, email, and location.
  • Go to "Shapes" and add a line below the contact details.

Step 4: Add Skills, Languages, and Hobbies

  • Copy the name, replace it with "Skills", and decrease the font size to 20.
  • Add your skills in bullet points or any format you prefer.
  • Add language proficiency and hobbies as well.

Step 5: Add Summary, Experience, and Education

  • Add a black line below the skills section.
  • Copy the name, replace it with "Summary", and decrease the font size.
  • Enter your summary or a brief description about yourself.
  • Add your work experience in the Experience section.
  • Enter your education details in the Education section.
